No Regrets

I've often said that I don't believe in regrets. The reason is because I do believe that every choice we make, whether it turns out the way we want it to or not, has value in our lives. I used to tell my kids, "it's only a mistake if you choose not to learn from it."

One could say that I've made a lot of mistakes.

I would argue that point. I've made decisions that have created less than desirable results. And in taking a step back and looking at them, I have (mostly) been able to figure out a way to learn from them. Some I've repeated over and over looking for a different result, but you know what they say about that!

It's important to remember that every action we take helps us create our own futures. Even if the step doesn't take us where we expect it the first time, know that it is just the next step in the general direction of the rest of your life. Embrace each one, while making corrections as needed.
